Keep Calm It's Nearly a new year

Keep Calm it's nearly a new year yet again and I feel in a reflective mood. I have had a really nice Christmas with my   family and I have been a lucky girl. There were many people I would love to have had around and some like my parents who have passed away. I did have my children Matthew and Natalie and their partners Karen and Rob who really made  us feel special  . I had lovely messages from my nephews and lots from friends so I feel very loved.

I have struggled recently with pain and the constant fatigue which makes my life very hard. I am an upbeat person which is good as it can be very very hard at times. I also struggle with my weight and right now like many I feel huge after the Christmas food.

I am excited that my Jane Plan diet arrives on the 3rd and I am going to really make an effort to change my life for the good.
I am in control of my life not one else! If I don't make it happen no one will do it for me.
I have exciting plans to visit my nephew in Canada with his lovely family and other trips and my lovely new kitchen , so I have much to be grateful for.

So I hope you all a great year and I thank you so much for taking time to read my blog and I hope to enjoy it also.I want to say a huge thanks to my husband kevin and my lovely children and their partners.Love you loads.  Enjoy life and live it to the full.

Jane Plan

Jane Plan was something I got to review not so long ago. I was lucky that I got to try the diet plan for one week and I was very successfully losing four pounds. With Christmas coming up I could not go on as like most people money is short.
Jane was so nice and helpful and promised to keep in touch. So I was delighted to get an e mail from her to ask if I wanted to blog again.
This time she is asking for a 2 week trial and I am mega excited. The food is totally yummy and it comes all ready for you to cook and enjoy. You don't have to worry about calorie counts or working things out, its all done!
There is a huge choice of items and the care and help is right there for you when you need it.
So I will post when I start then maybe end of first week and end of second week, and let you know how I am getting on.I am starting on the 3rd Jan 2013.  If you want to check it out for yourself jump on over to

Dark knight Rises

-After taking the blame for Harvey Dent’s crimes, Bruce Wayne suffers  exile which he has decided for  himself,  from Gotham City. While he is away the villains can do what they like, and Gotham city starts to suffer. This fast moving comic book film on Blu-ray features all the old  favourites such as  Alfred, Bruce’s trusted ,man servant and family friend, who warns him that he is not yet well  enough to wear the bat again. Batman goes back to the city and starts to try and clean up all the mess.

I thought it was fast moving and exciting and well acted. Lots of great characters and a great plot.
Astonishing colour and a real pleasure to watch.
As always lots of places to buy but you can also buy at :

Polar Express 3D Review

Polar Express 3D is something I also got lucky to watch this week. This is my second movie this week but this one is aimed at younger viewer. Although if like me you love Christmas, and are a big kid at heart you will love it too.

It follows the adventure of some young children as they get to ride on the most magical train  you could think of. This wonderful holiday classic is brought to life in astonishing 3D. Every second is full of colour and adventure, which seems to jump out from the television at you.

A very sweet and exciting and at time's a wee bit scary story that has you on the edge of your seat at times. Lovely voices of people such as Tom Hanks who brings the story to life with such colour and excitement.

This is such good value as it not only has the 3D blu-ray but also normal blu-ray and also a normal DVD.
Any child would love to watch this an lots of adults also. It really should be part of any family Christmas and one that can be watched every year.
Go out and get it today and even better if you can watch the 3D version as it is totally wonderful.

Can be purchased in many places but also at

http://www.amazon.co.uk

Please note I was not paid for this review only receiving a copy of the movie.

New Year Eve Movie Review

New Year Eve Movie Review today. When I got this movie I was hoping it was going to be good. Thankfully it was for me. Its the multi life stories of lots of people including Zac Efron,Jon Bon Jovi, Sarah Jessica Parker and Robert De Niro to name but a few.

All set around the one night of New Years Eve and the famous Ball drop in Time square. This movie was great I loved the fast moving story and great characters. Each person had their own sweet story line, which I really enjoyed finding out more about.
The plot slowly built up until the ball drop when all the characters stories came together in
Time square or near. You really get involved with them and I have to be honest in saying I had a little cry, it was that good.
It was a really feel good movie with laughter, tears and ahhh factor.
Beautiful acting by everyone and I must say there were so many great performances.
The music from John Bon Jovi and Lea Michele (Glee) were outstanding and really added to the movie.
If you get this movie (and you must) watch the outtakes at the end as they are really funny!
You should get it at most stores but also available for around £10.00 at

Please note I was not paid for this review, only receiving the movie to watch

Bridesmaid and stuff

This is a picture of my bridesmaid on my wedding day. I think even if it was 1979 the dresses still hold up. I spent ages looking and found these in a large department store.I thought I would have my chief bridesmaid in a another colour and the younger ones in pink. Now I think I would have them all the same but I think it sort of works.
The people are Lucy (husband cousins daughter), Sam (my nephew), Emma (my niece) and Carole my friend.
I remember taking Emma and Lucy to get their shoes which came from a very fancy store. They were so excited and Lucy always tells me how much she loved those shoes lol.
I think they all look lovely and it only seems a second ago, but in fact it will be 34 years in July.
I have been lucky and had 34 years of happy marriage and love. I hope I have at least 34 years left to enjoy it some more.

weight Loss

Weight loss is the subject of this new week. When I think of how many hours, weeks , months or years I have worried about my weight its scary. I had a weight problem since I was young and I have let it rule my life. I have been very slim and very overweight and nearly very overweight as now.
I eat healthy and never fry food and attempt to be good most of the time. I have a huge problem now with arthritis which is totally controlling my life. It also creates a circle as I need to lose weight to help my arthritis but my arthritis stops me doing any fitness.
I even had a gastric band 2 years ago which was only a minor success and has just reinforced the sense of failure for me.
My children have been brought up the same but one has a problem, one does not??
My daughter recently decided to have a gastric bypass. It was long thought over and in the end she felt it was best for her. She is only 26 and fights every day with chronic fatigue at times, so being overweight makes it hard.
So its been a few weeks and she is doing great she has lost 70 pounds and I see a new woman !
I wish she could have done it using normal diet methods but I know how hard it is and I think she has done well.

After Christmas I will try again and I will keep fighting as always. I wish everyone who struggles with weight and pain , well and lets keep going.

Blog shall I shall I

Blog shall I shall I that is the question. Like most people at this time of year I am really busy. I have also had my husband retirement on top and there never seems to be enough hours in the day.
I have times when I love to write on my blog but then I have times when its hard to find things to say.

You do feel like you need to come up with the goods so to speak, and the pressure at times can have a reverse effect for me. I am going through a shall I shall I phase and wonder if I should carry on or not. Then I think of the last couple of years and all the fun and friends I have made and then feel bad if I don't.

This is a really short guilt post and I promise to make more effect ...... maybe lol
After I make 3 cakes, host and meeting and go to 3 Christmas dinners in the next week I will write more. I hope I am not alone and would love to know if you also get times like this.

Until we meet again x
